Now, if you want to take your hypnosis to another level, then I recommend Cal Banyans 5 Path Hypnosis. Cal, like myself was taught hypnosis from Gerald Kein (Omni Hypnosis Centre), however Cal decided that he needed a framework that was consistent across his therapeutic sessions. So he put together a system that meant that whatever the issue, he had the necessary tools to rectify the complaint in up to five sessions. Within any of these progressive stages the presenting issue may be resolved and negate the need for further intervention.
5 Path consisted of:
1, Direct Suggestion
2, Age Regression
3, Forgiveness of Others
4, Self-Forgiveness
5, Parts Mediation Therapy
If it was a simple issue, then simple suggestions would suffice and one session would be sufficient. If the issue was more complex, then he had up to five sessions to get the job done using regression and related techniques.As Cal has his own practice and hypnotherapy employees, he found that having a consistent model for therapy, meant that everyone would achieve consistent results.
I paid for this course when it first came out many years ago, and I personally found his course to be well structured and packed with everything you could possibly want to take your hypnosis to an advanced level.
A friend of mine likes to phone up hypnotherapists in Britain and he asks what methods they use for different issues. What he found in the majority of cases, was that they were using the progressive relaxation induction and had no idea what somnambulism was. How on earth can they really help people with out getting into rapid inductions, regression and associated techniques. Suggestions on their own are all very well and the primary delivery system of hypnosis, however so much more can be achieved with these powerful tools.
I’m not knocking progressive reduction, as it has its place, it just takes too long. I know of hypnotherapists that are frightened of regression and I can understand that, as I do believe that you need to know what you are doing. What I find interesting is, that you can be a hypnotist over the past 10 years or more, and if you never stepped out of your comfort zones and learned techniques such as 5 Path, then you will always have the same limited skill set.
Somnambulism isn’t so scary when you get the right training. The experience and feeling of satisfaction, when you start to bring about positive changes in people who in many instances have been in therapy of one kind or another for years, is very satisfying. I talk from experience and I highly recommend Cal’s course and that of his mentor Gerry Kein, which i found to be every bit as professional. Gerry is a well respected teacher of Professional Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy and a leader in this field. Both provide excellent content and certification on successful completion of their courses.
Please bare in mind that both have a teaching style that provides background information first (why you need this) and then shows you the practical application of the techniques. If your not interested in a structured program of certification, then this is not for you. These are professional structured HYPNOTHERAPY programs that i can safely recommend.
For those of you that want the 5 Path framework without the video course and optional certification. The frame work that Cal uses is adequately explained in the excellent book course recommended by myself on this site, called Hypnotize this. If you have a working knowledge of the techniques already and don’t want to pay top dollar to see Cal in action, then this may be an excellent alternative for you.
