ngh_memberHello and thank you for your Interest.

My name is Nigel Basher, I’m a Clinical Hypnotherapist and practitioner in other related therapies, which i undertake from my practice in Cornwall, in the United Kingdom.

I have been a Clinical Hypnotherapist ( Certified by The National Guild of Hypnotists) among others, for 10 years now.

TRAINING

I have benefited from training by many of the Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Lingustic-Programming Masters in America; Namely Mr G Kein, C Banyan, Don Mottin, Tad James, Zali Segal and W D Horton. Also qualifying to diploma level in Advanced Psychotherapy, Neuro-Psychological Immunology, Meridian Psychotherapy ( EFT etc) in the united Kingdom.

My learning resources have included extensive material from:
Dr R Bandler ( NLP founder) and Mr C Howard (World renowned Master NLP & Leadership trainers) Together with Dr Milton Erickson & Dave Elman to name but a few.

VIEW POINT

In my opinion, I believe that, America is the world leader in the field of Hypnosis & NLP. I have taken courses on Hypnotherapy in Britain, though I feel they are more academically based and teach useful, but out dated methods, such as progressive relaxation and fail to teach instant and rapid inductions. The valuable technique of regression and related techniques tend to be absent as well.

I’m happy to say that the tide is changing in parts of this country and the quality of courses and therefore graduating hypnotherapists, is improving.
The progressive relaxation technique has it’s place, however it takes too long and uses up valuable therapy time. I prefer to use Instant & rapid induction techniques for hypnosis which take 3 minutes or less.

According to a respected colleague of mine, some hypnotherapists across the country, even in Harley St in London, are unaware of the depth of trance, known as somnambulism. Much to my disbelief, though I am sure that it is a disappearing trend, as better training becomes available.

I feel this old out date training in the U K and elsewhere is not giving the up and coming hypnotist a fair chance to succeed. As the hypnotherapist is losing out professionally, ultimately, so are their clients. In my opinion any hypnotherapist who is  unable to regress a client to the ISE…(the initial sensitising event), when required, is missing out on taking their skills to the level of a truly professional hypnotherapist.

I particularly like resolving the more challenging issues, that require regression and various techniques. It is extremely rewarding to see a client free of an issue that until then, had been with them often all of their lives. Whatever ones belief about what hypnosis is or isn’t, one cannot really argue with the many positive benefits to it’s professional therapeutic use, which i feel is still beyond the current medical understanding of many.

I personally feel that those that undertake the practice of hypnosis in it’s many forms, should under go professional training. Hypnosis on those without knowing their physiological and psychological state, can be an unpleasant, even dangerous experience for those involved. At the very least one should have public liability insurance and the knowledge on how to deal with an abreaction should it occur. Any stage style suggestions should be removed and careful consideration be given to the use of safe post hypnotic suggestions.

All places around the world may or may not have restrictions on the practice of hypnosis, so make sure that you can legally do so in whatever senario you wish to undertake. With these common sense guide lines, hypnosis will be a safe practice for all, and less likely to come under greater government restrictions on it’s use, by the lay person in the future. Always treat the practice of hypnosis and those that you hypnotize with the utmost of respect.

NMH4.COM

Over the years I have developed my own style, which I have found effective for what ever issue the client presents to me. This I call Neuro-Meridian Hypnotherapy, hence the name nmh4.com, which encompasses what I feel are the most effective healing modalities, utilized in my own style or method. You may like to keep a look out for my Hypnotherapy related products: videos/CD’s in the near future.

I’m an Internationally published author of poetry and the creator of the nmh4weightloss system. I read non fiction books whenever I can. For recreation, I enjoy camping/kayaking and networking, at various meta physical events. There you will find me involved in Hypnosis demonstrations and Aura Photography/Analysis, as well as talking to new clients about Hypnotherapy etc.

I am Interested in  all forms of complementary health therapy, together with an interest in meta-physical phenomena. My personal collection of Hypnosis/ NLP video’s, Cd’s, books are in excess of a thousand items. If you have an interest in something in particular, I may have it in my collection and will be able to help you. I am open to to new ideas and learning, as we all learn and grow in our knowledge from each other and direct experience.

I do not profess to know any more than anyone else and only wish to engage in whatever improves my mind and the lives of others.

In the past i have joined hypnosis groups, but found many condescending and egotistical to the members. We all like different things and have differing opinions, however, this particular site will only encourage constructive feedback and will only post honest reliable reviews on Hypnotherapy/NLP products etc.

So there you have it. That’s enough about me. I look forward to any comments you may have.

All Dr’s, Counselors & Hypnotherapists etc are not the same. So take what works for you and disregard the rest.

You are what you think, So think positively and be mindful of your own internal dialogue. Take action towards your goals and in so doing you will be creating the life that you actually want.

Nigel
