This is behaviour that the subject does, after they emerge from trance. While in trance you would compound the suggestion, to carry out a particular behaviour out of hypnosis.
Examples:
Tell them in trance, that when you snap your fingers Anchor) and say sleep they will instantly go into a trance only deeper than before. You would then emerge them from trance and test within a couple of seconds, as the subject remains in trance and suggestible for a number of seconds, before they re-orientate themselves to the conscious or waking state.
Repeat three times until the post hypnotic suggestion is embedded in the subconscious. If you ask them in hypnosis and they agree to the suggestion ie verbally, nodding their head etc, then success is assured.
With good rapport and the right style of induction for the individual (either permissive or authoritarian) and the right suggestion (ie acceptable to them) any indication is not necessary.
As long as the subject wishes the post hypnotic suggestion to remain, post hypnotic suggestions still remain effective many years after they were made.
You can also suggest that when they emerge from trance, that they will notice with the passing of time a particular color or carry out a particular behavior and that their suggestions will get stronger and stronger every day and in every way. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
Use this to condition your subjects to enter trance instantly. Used in stage hypnosis, for that dramatic re-induction effect.
(A wonderful hypnosis convincer) Saving valuable time, on the next occasion trance is required, especially in the hypnosis practice.
